cover image on homepage (behind logo and main nav)

Can you incorporate an image as the background of the white bar? And then have the logo and main menu stay in their current position?

We have a buffalo image that we want to incorporate into the background somehow and so I was thnking that it would look good on the white bar. I think the white bar is currently on repeat with a small image – but I’m not sure. I’d like to photoshop a white bar exactly like the one on the site except incorporate this buffalo pattern onto it (there are no repeated patterns on it unfortunately) . I dont know if that makes sense? Here’s an example http://i60.tinypic.com/2d1a04j.jpg

Apparently incorporating
.allwrapper {
background-image: url(http://path/to/your/image);
background-position: top center;
background-repeat: no-repeat
}

into themetastic.css should do the trick but it's not working. Can I please get some help on this?
